Because: “Magic happens outside your comfort zone.” To truly hear your inner voice, you need peace, calm, and a break from your everyday life. You need a complete change of scenery. That’s why we’ve chosen a country that is far away and offers no reasonable roaming plan. On this journey, you can put your phone down without any guilt, as there’s no reception anyway. Just to reassure you: we carry a satellite phone for emergencies, which works even in the most remote corners.
Besides being a safe, stable country with breathtaking and largely untouched nature, Namibia is also about ten hours by plane. So, once we’re finally on the plane, you’ll have ten hours to leave your stressful daily life behind. When we arrive in Windhoek and breathe the fresh air, you’ll feel like you’re in another world, already approaching a state of deep relaxation. And the best part: there’s only a one-hour time difference in summer and none in winter between Switzerland and Namibia, so no jetlag.
This is an all-inclusive camping trip – so breakfast, lunch, dinner, water on demand, as well as all camping equipment and camping overnight costs are included. The only things you’ll need to pay for yourself are canned drinks, alcoholic beverages, meals outside the itinerary, and (optional) hotel stays. And of course, your souvenirs.
Believe me – we could easily market this trip as a gourmet experience. James will prepare meals for us over the campfire that most of us wouldn’t be able to replicate even with our modern induction stoves and high-tech steamers. Vegetarians and vegans will be just as well taken care of as meat lovers. The key is to make sure you let us know your dietary preferences before the trip – we’ll purchase everything specifically for the journey and transport the supplies in our “Kitchen Truck,” which is equipped with a full kitchen, as well as freezers and refrigerators.
Yep. Get used to it. As we said: Magic happens outside your comfort zone. No, seriously. When we stop at campsites, there will always be the option to shower. When we’re out in the wilderness, we’ll have a camping shower with us, which can be used when necessary. We’ll also carry a camping toilet, so no one has to keep looking for their own “spot.” Privacy is guaranteed. However, when we’re on the road, there may be times when you have to relieve yourself behind a bush.
No, you only need to bring your personal items like clothing and toiletries. We travel simply but comfortably. We’ll be sleeping in standing-height tents, which are equipped with a camp bed and mattress. Each person will receive their personal “Bed Roll,” which includes a sheet, a blanket, a pillow, and for particularly cold nights, a wool blanket.
We will be accompanied and looked after by Mannex, Oscar, and James – all experienced local safari experts. We will be traveling in top-maintained and well-equipped off-road vehicles from Escape Safaris. If we find ourselves in a tricky situation, our guides will know exactly how to handle it. Therefore, the most important rule is that the instructions from the crew must be followed without discussion or exception. This way, we will be rewarded with a safe and breathtaking nature experience.

If you’ve booked the trip to Livingstone, additional formalities will apply. We will inform you about them in detail.
IMPORTANT: These rules apply only to individuals with a Swiss passport or a valid residence permit in Switzerland.
Don’t worry – during the drive, empty batteries can be charged in the vehicles using Swiss plugs.
Namibia generally has a well-developed mobile network, but there are no reasonable roaming options for Swiss numbers. So, while you can use your phone network almost everywhere, it’s very expensive. Most lodges and campsites in Namibia offer Wi-Fi, but we’ll also spend a few nights in “dead zones.” Don’t worry, though – you won’t need your phone on this trip, and I promise you won’t miss it. For emergencies, we have a satellite phone with us. We’re always in reception and can call for help or receive calls if needed.
